Generation One: Week 1 - Fall

For My Name Game Challenge I decided to use my Simself.  However, since my real name is Elizabeth (9 letters) and you can only have an 8 sim household, I decided to go with a shorter version and use Eliza only to get the letter y out of the way I decided to spell it "Elyza". 

I don't really think she looks like me, aside from the hair and glasses as I am not great at creating custom sims in Create A Sim (CAS).  But I did dress her in mostly purple as that is my real life favorite color.

For the traits I went with clumsy (I have been known to fall down while standing still), dog lover, and creative.

I have had five Beagles in real life but my first was Lucy, so I created her as well.  She is friendly, a couch potato, and a glutton.  My real life Lucy was all of these things. 

In real life, I live in a college town and work at a University.  Therefore, I moved Elyza into a starter home I downloaded from the gallery located in Gibbs Hill.  I think it was created by Simlicy.  

Sunday

I haven't decided yet but I am thinking about sending Elyza to university, but am on the fence. Just in case, I have her send off her application.

I was at one time a graphic designer, so I had Elyza get a job as a freelance artist. and she gets her first gig creating an icon for an App.

The only problem is that we can't afford a computer (we can't even afford the bills we will get tomorrow), so it is off to nearby Laural Library.  I downloaded a new version from the gallery that was created by lilsimsie.  Not only does it have some computers but also has one of the drawing tablets. 

For some reason, I thought you got one automatically when signing up for the freelance career but I guess I was wrong on that.

Elyza chatted with her client.

And then started working on some app designs.  Unfortunately, it turns out you can't use one of these on a community lot because none of the images Elyza drew appeared in her inventory.  I checked and one of these drawing tablets is $750, so will have to figure out an other way to make money until she can afford one.

The librarian, Masato Ota, game by to chat.  He has a paw print shaved into the side of his head, so could he be husband material for our dog lover?

Then this guy came in, took one look at Elyza and had all these hearts floating around him.  Is that from the game or one of the mods I have installed. He spent a few minutes chatting with Elyza but seemed to be in a bad mood.

Apparently, Elyza finds Masato charming but has a hurt sentiment with Jarvis.  I guess he said something that hurt her feelings.  That takes him out of the running, so for now we will keep Masato as our number one contended.

Elyza needs some money, so she went around exploring. She managed to find a metal and a robot upgrade part which we sold.

Then Elyza went fishing, but all she caught was some seaweed.

She decided that she dislikes fishing. Honestly, it isn't one of my favorite activities either.

Elyza was getting hungry, so it was time to go home. She has zero cooking skill, so for now it will be salads, BLTs, and other things that you don't need to cook on a stove. 

Watch out for those knives! You have the clumsy trait and don't want to loose a finger.

 How in the world do you mess up a salad?? That looks disgusting. 

Elyza ate it anyway, which I assume was made more difficult by the fact that her arm is literally going through the fridge.

The food was so gross it left a bad aftertaste in Elyza's mouth.

Elyza's fun was a little low, so she tried watching some TV.  Unfortunately, Lucy developed a fear of the television. 

Monday

On Monday, Elyza spent the morning looking for collectables.

She tried teaching Lucy to use the potty outside. If this Lucy is anything like the real life version, this will be a challenge.

Elyza still can't afford the sketchpad but she can get an easel.  While that won't help her complete gigs it is a good way to make money.

Masato calls asking if we want to go to a lounge to check out someone famous. I have never attended this event before, so said yes.

Elyza got an autograph from comedian Brittani Cho (at least I think that is her name).  I think autographs can be worth a lot, so will have to remember to sell it later.

Then Elyza met Holly Woods.  Holly will be the founder of my Career Legacy and is an actress.

Despite the fact that Masato invited Elyza to the event he didn't talk to her the entire time. He did however, call and ask if he could come for a stay over.  At this point, I was still thinking he had partner potential and said yes.

 Then, not 5 minutes later, he called her back to ask if he should ask out Tabatha Hatcher.  I decided to say yes, go for it.  Elyza will find someone that pays attention to her and doesn't ask if he should date other people.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, Elyza wakes up to find Lucy sick.  We really can't afford to go to the vet but don't have a choice.

Elyza can't afford the "Expensive Treatment" option, so poor Lucy got the Basic Treatment.

I feel bad because poor Lucy looks so sad in the cone.  Elyza bought a couple wellness treats to avoid vet visits in the future.

On the plus side, Elyza met a really cute vet named Liam. I can't remember his last name. The two spent time talking and even did a little flirting.  I decided he will be Elyza's future husband.

When Elyza got home, Masato is there.  I totally forgot I said he could come for a stay over. He kept talking to Elyza which was preventing her from getting any painting done.

I know Elyza should be painting things she can sell, but I couldn't resist having her paint from reference when I spotted Lucy sleeping on the couch. Elyza is now at painting level 4.

Wednesday

Thanks to her painting, Elyza is finally able to afford the sketchpad. She tried working on her first gig (it expires tomorrow) and again Masato kept talking to her.  I swear the only time we see him is when she is trying to paint/sketch.

 

 

Elyza managed to complete the gig and reached painting level 5.

 She then painted another picture of Lucy sleeping on the couch.

I just can't help myself as I think sleeping beagles are so cute!

Elyza will need to have 5 kids, so it is time to get a move on things.  She invited Liam over and the two do a lot of flirting.  This is not true to real live as I am WAY to introverted for such things.

The two share a first kiss and then immediately woohoo.  Again this sort of behavior is NOT true to real life as I would never move that quickly in a real life relationship.

Immediately after the woohoo, Liam left. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt as he is a vet and was probably late for work.

After Liam left, Elyza went outside to work on training Lucy. Good news, Lucy learned to pee outside.

Elyza is feeling nauseous.  I think we all know what that means.

Elyza is pregnant!

Thursday

Poor Elyza woke up with morning sickness.

 Elyza took a new gig.  This one has her meeting with an art camp.

Elyza created a sketch and then went to meet with class.  She really enjoyed passing down her knowledge to the students.

I am SO glad this is the last day of Masato's stay over. He is always sad, never showers, and won't stop talking to Elyza when she is working.

Liam calls and invited Elyza on a date to a restaurant I put in Tartosa.  I downloaded it from the gallery but can't remember who created it.  Liam greeted Elyza with a big kiss.

Elyza wasted no time and told Liam about the pregnancy.

 

 He took the news really well and told Elyza that the date just kept getting better.

Before sitting down to dinner.  I don't think I got a photo but they actually got their food relatively quickly and enjoyed a nice meal.

During dinner, Liam asked Elyza if they could move in together.  With a baby on the way, Elyza happily said yes.

 

The couple enjoyed a lovely moonlight slow dance, but Elyza was getting really tired, so it was time to head home.

Friday

With the money Liam brought to the family, we were able to do some redecorating and add a nursery for the baby.

 On Friday, Elyza did some cooking and completed a few more freelance gigs.

Liam bonded with Lucy and did some woodworking.  He has one of the Eco Lifestyle traits (can't remember which one) so I am thinking he might get a job as a freelance maker.

The Spice Festival was in town, so Elyza and Liam went and tried (they lost) the Spice Curry challenge.

While at the festival, Elyza got the call about a long lost relative leaving her money. I usually do "under what conditions" but this time decided to go with Money Money Money! Give now!

Liam proposed and the pair immediately eloped.  I think we got around $25,000.

Saturday

On Saturday morning, Elyza worked on a gig while Liam ate breakfast.

But the colors went so well with our decor I decided to keep it and have Elyza create a new sketch for the client. 

I realized that we are almost through week 1 and haven't made any progress on Elyza's renaissance sim aspiration.  So she spent a relaxing morning reading.

I used some of our inheritance to buy a fabricator and had Liam start working on gigs of his own.

Later the pair took an adorable nap together. I love all the cute interactions in Pandasama's mod.

Elyza woke up in labor.

Poor Liam panicked.  Turns out he had a BIG reason to panic.

I can't believe Elyza just had triplets!!!!  I know I was going to need to get that Achievement at some point but wasn't expecting it right off the bat.  I am glad we got that inheritance. 

Welcome to the family Ethan, Lucas, and Yvona. Welcome to family Ethan, Erick, and Edith. I just realized that for multiples you are suppose to start all of them with the same letter.  I will officially update their names when they become infants. I guess Elyza will be having 8 kids after all - LOL!

Saturday ends with Liam and Elyza tending to their triplets. 

 

 

The first round of the challenge ended with Elyza and Liam getting some much needed rest.
