Last time on the Name Game Challenge Elyza and Liam welcomed baby girl Yvone to the family. All of the kids aged up and beagle Lucy became an elder dog.
I started out this round by turning on Neighborhood Stories. I left off Rescue Horses as I didn't want a bunch of families in Willow Creek suddenly having a horse in their backyard. I also left "move in" and "move out" disabled because I don't like when a bunch of random EA generated townies.
I am also taking some advice from a few other players on Boolprop.net and will be changing my rotation going forward from Sunday mornings to Monday afternoons. This will better accommodate sending Sims to University as well as events as the Accolade Awards. This family will get one extra day in this rotation as they are still starting on Sunday morning at 4 am. I find that since switching to a two week rotation I am struggling with writing the updates. So am also going to break each rotation up into two parts.
Sunday
Liam won the last lottery so this family now has plenty of money, so the house got a major upgrade. I downloaded it from the Gallery but can't remember who created it.
The main floor has a large living room and spacious kitchen. The second floor has a master bedroom and nursery (not pictured - accidentally deleted them.)
The third floor has a toddler room and bedroom for the older kids.
The basement has a gym and bedroom with attached bathroom. Thanks to Elyza's first pregnancy resulting in triplets I have been faced with a dilemma of how to have baby Z and A when the house is full. Then EA released the For Rent pack which solved my problem. I turned the basement into a rental unit and moved Liam into the apartment.
The kitchen, living room, and other areas of the house are marked as shared spaces so Liam has full run of the house. I just can't control him anymore.
It also means that Elyza and Liam can finally try for a new baby.
It is the weekend, so the kids are busy working on their skills/aspirations. Edith is going through a bear phase. She is working on one of the new aspirations that came with Growing Together and needed to play pretend in the tree house. Yvone worked on her movement skill on the slide. Erick worked on his mental skill by going fishing.
Lucas drew pictures on the craft table. He reached creativity level 10 and completed his aspiration.
Ethan invited over Amethyst from the Get Collecting Legacy. He spent time chatting with her and reached level 10 in the social skill.
He created a club for kids from the different Achievement legacy families. So far the members are Amethyst, Jet, Onyx, and Opal from Get Collecting as well as Colt from they Postcard legacy.
Ethan started a gathering and played some video games with Amethyst, Jet, and Colt. He quickly became friends with them, so once he makes two adult friends he will have completed his aspiration.
The results of the pregnancy test were positive. Elyza wasted no time in informing Liam of the good news.
He was thrilled with the results.
Elyza spent time potty training Yvone.
Then Liam gave her a bath and got her tucked into bed for the night. Aside from not being able to control him I wouldn't even know that Liam technically didn't live with the family anymore.
Monday
On Monday morning I checked the neighborhood stories and learned that Johnan Persson had died as a result of his toilet busting into flames.
Edith spent the night sleeping in the tree house and completed her aspiration.
Elyza made breakfast for the family.
And ended up having a bladder failure.
Yvone went to her dad and asked for help doing flashcards.
Liam did flashcards with Yvone.
And then he spent time playing with her.
Elyza spent the morning playing with Lucy.
And then worked on writing a research article.
The older kids came home from school. Erick's grades are up and he now has an A. Once he maxes his mental skill and makes some emotion potions he will have completed his aspiration.
The rest of the day was spent working on school projects. Yvone watched and increased her mental skill.
Tuesday
Tuesday was pretty uneventful. Liam felt the baby kicking.
Elyza then gave a very dirty Lucy a bath.
Elyza, Liam, and Lucy then took a nap together while Yvone worked on her skills. I think she was playing with the nesting blocks.
Edith brought one of the Lexion twins home from school. I think this is Onyx but I could be wrong. I can't remember which one I dressed in yellow.
Lucas brought home this girl from school. Her name is Rochelle Riordan.
I don't know what Lucas said to Rochelle but she seemed shocked.
I was so focused on Lucas and Rochelle that I didn't get a screenshot of Erick at the chemistry set but he did finish the emotion potions and complete his aspiration.
Before turning in for the night the kids did their homework and ate dinner.
Tuesday ended the way it began with Liam feeling Elyza's baby bump.
Wednesday
On Wednesday morning I remembered to check the Neighborhood Stories. I am going to try to remember to do that daily. We had a few more deaths as Thorne Baily was electrocuted, Chanh Linh fell victim of the cowplant, and Lily Feng overheated in the sun. Pamela Ashford left her job as a sergeant in the detective career.
Elyza went into labor.
Liam came running into the hospital in full panic mode.
Elyza and Liam welcomed the newest edition of their family - a baby boy named Zack.
Yvone went to meet her new baby brother.
Poor Yvone was not happy to have a new baby brother.
Liam gave Yvone a comforting hug.
He then spent time playing with her and do flashcards.
After school the kids spent time learning how to ride their bikes.
Thursday
Neighborhood stories only contained one death this time as Candy Behr was electrocuted while doing a repair. The Linh-Sadya household in Tomarang adopted a dog and Kristen Harlow left her job in the military.
Yvone mastered the potty training skill.
Elyza fed baby Zak.
Liam spent time with Yvone. They danced to some music and worked on doing flash cards.
Elyza spent the morning with Lucy.
Later in the afternoon the family traveled to the park in Willow Creek for Yvone's birthday.
Elyza invited Masato to the party. He was her very first friend and once stayed with her for four days.
Several of the other challenge families and their kids came to the party.
Lucas and Edith went roller skating. Lucas fell and knocked out a tooth.
Ethan spent time chatting with Dia Constar. She became his second adult friend and completed his aspiration.
Lucas played chess with Jet Lexion while Edith played with her sister Yvone.
Here is Yvone after her makeover. She loves horses and has the whiz kid trait. Zack also aged up and is a wiggly toddler.
As Thursday came to an end we learned that Zack has the snuggly sleeper quirk. This means he likes to be held while sleeping.
Friday
Friday morning we learn, via Neighborhood Stories, that Andres Barrera is now a freelance fashion photographer.
Elyza earned a promotion and is now a teaching assistant. We also learned that Zack has the loves wakeup time and frequently sneezes quirks.
Elyza got Zack fed.
Then Elyza did some tummy time with Zack. He learned how to lift his head.
Followed quickly by the ability to roll over. Zak can now do tummy time on his own.
We had a couple of pop-ups while the kids were in school. First Erick got really nervous on test day. He took some deep breaths and it worked. He was able to get As on his tests.
Then later, Ethan was the All Star in class and got to be interviewed by his classmates. He decided to be witty and his classmates were falling off their seats laughing.
Zack unlocked another milestone. He can now reach for things like his playmat toys.
Liam and Elyza ate lunch together.
Then Liam fed Zak before putting him down for a nap.
The kids came home from school and played some video games.
And then they did their homework.
So I think this is hilarious. Liam decided to protest the living conditions of his apartment.
Elyza decided that making out with Liam on the sidewalk was the best way to make him happier with his current living conditions.
Saturday
On Saturday morning I checked back in on Neighborhood Stories. There were two more deaths as Bridget Simmons burst into flames and Oliana Ngata slipped while rock climbing. Noah Lucas got a new job as a dot-com pioneer and Sachi Yoon-ju left her job as an assistant nurse.
Thanks to MCC we also got a notification regarding Sophia Jordan's marriage to Mitchell Kalani. In case you don't recall Sophia is currently pregnant with Juan Lopez's child. Juan is the brother of Theresa Lopez from the Get Collecting legacy.
Elyza spent Saturday morning working on some of her career tasks. She worked on her lesson plans and wrote a research article.
Erick and Ethan both lost a tooth.
Zack had a diaper blowout.
Elyza changed Zack's diaper and gave him a bath.
Liam fed Zack breakfast.
Then he joined the rest of the family for a grand breakfast.
Liam and Lucas now have the Jokesters family dynamic.Zack learned how to sit-up all by himself.
The family then took a trip to the park in Willow Creek.
Where it was time for the triplets birthday party.
The kids took turns blowing out their birthday candles on their cake.
Elyza has the Tech Guru aspiration, Erick has the bodybuilder aspiration, and Ethan has one of the teen aspirations.
Edith joined the high school computer club and Erick is now a member of the football team.
Ethan's childhood friend Myles Jang also aged up into a teenager. They previously exchanged friendship bracelets and can share a special high-five.
Ethan and Myles also realized they have feelings beyond friendship and spent the party flirting with each other.
One of the tasks for the party was to have three sims playing games at the same time. Edith played chess with Yvone while Elyza challenged Lucas to a game.
I upgraded the larger of the kids rooms for the three boys.
Elyza moved in with her sister Yvone and their room also got a big makeover.
After the party, Erick took Lucy for a walk. She only has a day or two left and I am not ready to say goodbye to her.
Liam tucked a very sleepy Zack into bed for the night.
Sunday
According to Neighborhood Stories, Kimee Balmilero slipped when rock climbing and died. Christina Fox got a job as a Backhoe Operator in the Manual Laborer career.
The kids all ate breakfast together.
Elyza got Zack ready for the day. She changed his diaper and fed him breakfast.
Zack was in a VERY angry mood. He was upset because his mom put him down and then gave him food that he didn't like.
Elyza let Zack out of the highchair and blew raspberries on his tummy.
The kids all worked on their aspirations. Erick used the basement gym, Edith worked on her computer programming, Ethan did some painting, while Lucas and Yvone played chess.
Zack fell asleep on the floor next to Lucy.
Elyza grabbed her easel and started a paint by reference to capture the moment.
Tragically, that is when the grim reaper decided to arrive for Lucy. I was not ready to let her go. I hate when sim pets die but this one was harder because she was based on my own beagle Lucy who passed away in real life back in October 2022.
After taking Lucy, the grim reaper decided to help himself to the family's leftover BLTs.
The kids are all really upset by the death of Lucy. Ethan channeled his feelings into a sad painting.
I can't tell if Zack is upset about Lucy or still mad from earlier.
Elyza cried on Liam's shoulder while he gave her a comforting hug.
The silver lining in Lucy's passing is that there is once again space in the house for another Sim. Therefore, it was time for Liam and Elyza to try for their final baby.
The pregnancy test was positive and Elyza happily shared the news with Liam.
With her parents busy, Elyza got her baby brother fed and put down for the night.
Monday
We start off Monday with another round of Neighborhood Stories. We have two more deaths as Mariana Estevez died from anger and Akio Watanabe got on the bad side of a chicken. Byron Douglas left his job in the scientist career.
The family ate breakfast together.
Then I decided to follow the triplets to their first day of high school. Edith met the principle.
I had everyone claim and decorate their lockers.
The triplets attended their classes.
They had science class and it was dissection day. Ethan briefly thought about making the frog dance but decided to leave the immaturity out of the classroom. Instead, he focused on the lesson.
After school the older kids went to their extra curricular activities while Liam helped the younger two with their school project.
It is now 5:30 pm on Monday so here is where I am going to wrap up Part 1 of this rotation.
